According to Seeff Property Group, the Western Cape coastal towns have experienced significant growth in the past two years, fueled by both the trend of relocating to the coast and a growing desire for second homes. The demand extends to Eastern Cape coastal areas, known for more affordable pricing compared to their Western Cape counterparts.

Seeff's agents have pinpointed some top holiday home destinations and their price ranges:

1. Clifton and Camps Bay (Cape Town):

These areas attract wealthy buyers, celebrities, and influencers. Clifton boasts an average house price exceeding R50 million and over R22 million for apartments. Camps Bay has seen a high volume of sales over R20 million this year, reflecting its popularity.

2. Plettenberg Bay and Knysna:

Plett has witnessed sales ranging from R17.3 million to R33 million for homes in Beachy Head, with apartments ranging from R1.4 million to R12.75 million. Knysna waterfront properties, especially in Thesen Islands, have seen strong sales ranging from around R5 million to R15 million.

3. Langebaan and Yzerfontein (West Coast Towns):

These towns, close to Cape Town, are ideal for weekend getaways. Langebaan beachfront homes in Calypso Beach Estate have sold for R8.25 million and R8.8 million, showcasing the area's growing popularity. Yzerfontein, known for its tranquility, sees homes selling for around R6.5 million.
